Join MAME

Active membership in this organization shall be open to physician county medical examiners, deputy medical examiners and pathologist who perform autopsies for county medical examiners or who are active in other areas of forensic pathology. Membership will be extended to persons holding a Doctorate Degree in an allied field related to medico-legal investigation and with an established relationship to a medical examiner system. Individuals, who fit any of these descriptions, please fill out the Application for Active Membership completely. All active members are eligible to vote and hold office. Active member dues are $100.00 per year.

Any individuals within the medical examiner system who are interested in becoming a member of MAME, but are not eligible for membership under the category above, may apply for Affiliate membership. Please fill out the Application for Affiliate Membership completely. Affiliate members are eligible to attend all scientific, social and business sessions of the organization, but are not eligible to vote to hold office. Affiliate member dues are $25.00 per year.

Student membership is open to anyone who is currently enrolled in a variety of programs. This includes, but not limited to: medical school, forensics, criminal justice, pathology, nursing, physician assistant, and police academy. Please fill out the Application for Student Membership completely. Student members are eligible to attend all scientific, social and business sessions of the organization, but are not eligible to vote or hold office. Student member dues are $20.00 per year.

As a member of MAME, you will be placed on the mailing list for “Cross Section”, the MAME newsletter. You will also receive a membership card stating you are a MAME member in good standing annually. You will be eligible to attend the MAME Fall Scientific Conference. This conference is a wonderful forum to meet your counterparts as they gather to discuss the latest in medical investigating and medico-legal forensic pathology.
